Shipping policy

Many Trail’s Edge Woodworks products are made to order. Processing time is the time required to build, finish, inspect, and package your item; it does not include carrier transit time.

Processing and Lead Times

The current estimated processing time is listed on each product page. Most made-to-order catalog products normally ship within 7–10 business days or approximately two weeks, depending on the product.

Business days exclude weekends and observed holidays. Product-specific lead times take precedence over the general estimates on this page.

Custom commissions, oversized pieces, and specialty builds follow the schedule provided in the applicable project proposal or agreement, subject to applicable law.

Unexpected Production Delays

We maintain a reasonable basis for the processing and shipping estimates shown when an order is placed.

If we determine that we cannot ship an order within the timeframe stated when it was placed, we will notify the customer, provide a revised estimated shipping date, and offer the choice to:

  • Accept the revised shipping date; or

  • Cancel the affected unshipped item or order and receive a full and prompt refund

If we cannot provide a reasonable revised shipping date, we will explain the delay and offer the customer the choice to continue waiting or cancel the affected unshipped item or order for a full and prompt refund.

Any additional delay will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Shipping Rates

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout unless the product page specifically states that free standard shipping is included.

Free shipping applies only when shown on the product page or order confirmation. Custom and oversized orders may require separately quoted delivery, freight, or pickup arrangements.

Tracking

When your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Tracking may take up to 24 hours to begin updating after the carrier receives the package.

Carrier transit times are estimates and are separate from the processing time stated on the product page. Delivery dates provided by a carrier are not guaranteed by Trail’s Edge Woodworks.

Shipping Addresses

Please review your shipping address carefully before submitting your order. If you need to make a correction, contact us as soon as possible.

We cannot guarantee address changes after an order has entered fulfillment or been transferred to the carrier. Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the customer’s responsibility.

Carrier Delays

Weather, seasonal volume, service interruptions, and other carrier-related circumstances may delay delivery after an order leaves our workshop. These events are outside our direct control, but we will assist with available tracking information and carrier inquiries.

Damage During Shipping

Please inspect your order promptly upon delivery. If it arrives visibly damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours when reasonably possible at info@trailsedgewoodworks.com.

Include photographs of:

  • The product and affected area

  • The shipping container and interior packaging

  • The shipping label

Please retain the product and all packaging while the issue is reviewed.

Failure to report visible shipping damage within 48 hours may affect our ability to file a carrier claim. The 48-hour reporting request does not prevent consideration of concealed shipping damage or a defect that could not reasonably have been discovered during the initial inspection.

Once the issue is confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate repair, replacement, or refund.

Missing Packages

If tracking shows that a package was delivered but you cannot locate it, first check the delivery area, household members, neighbors, and any delivery information provided by the carrier.

If the package remains missing, contact the carrier and Trail’s Edge Woodworks promptly. We will help investigate using the available tracking and shipment information and determine the appropriate next steps based on the carrier’s findings and applicable law.

Returns and Warranty Claims

This Shipping Policy does not determine whether an order is eligible for return or warranty service. Please review our Warranty & Return Policy for return eligibility, workmanship coverage, authorized-return shipping requirements, and instructions for reporting an order issue.
